What To Expect

welcome1.jpgThe North MacArthur Church of Christ has a goal of being known as a friendly, caring family of God's people. Our chief concern is to make sure that our worship to God is pleasing to Him. We want everything we do to be according to His Biblical teachings.

People are important to us. We attempt to be a source of strength and inspiration to others. We would love to be a part of your life, and for you to be part of ours. If there is a need in your life, we would be delighted to visit with you and attempt to uncover the solution that God can provide. When you do, you will discover a group of people striving to become like Christ who are friendly and welcoming. We strive to teach the Word of God in a way that is relevant to daily life, to support each other in our walk with God, and to be a family unit where God can change lives.

You Might Be Wondering

What time are services and what are they like?

We have services on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Our services usually last about an hour each time.

welcome3.jpg The atmosphere is warm and the people are approachable. We sing hymns, with the only musical accompaniment being hearts filled with gratitude (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16); we spend time in prayer together (1 Thessalonians 6:17); we remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus by partaking of the Lord's Supper (Acts 20:7); we give as we have been prospered (1 Corinthians 16:1-2); and we study together from the Word of God (Acts 20:7).

Our prayer is that each person who attends North MacArthur will be encouraged by worship that pleases God. You will find a congregation with loving, open arms toward guests.

What Should I Wear?

At our services, you will see people dressed in a wide variety of attire, from jeans to dress clothes. Please dress as you feel is appropriate for worship to God.

Where Will My Kids Go?

At 9:00 a.m. on Sundays and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, we have Bible classes for all ages—from newborns (just a few months old) to seniors in high school.

We believe that children are a gift from God and they need to be taught and raised to know how much they are loved by God.

We partner with parents in laying a foundation of spiritual truth so that each child will be led on a path of having a strong relationship with God.

Through our Bible classes and other activities throughout the year, children learn how the Bible instructs them in their life decisions, how to talk with God through prayer, and what it means to be a lifelong follower of Jesus. They will have the encouragement of other children whose parents are trying to instruct their children in this same path.

Please see the Children’s Education page for more details about the classes and programs for your children.

Any of our greeters would be happy to help you find the right place for your children to attend.

We do have an attended nursery during the 10 a.m. worship service for younger children (newborn-age 4) in case you need some help during worship, but we encourage parents to worship God with their children as a meaningful family time.
